Hi. My name is Jeff. I'm well into my 40's, and love Disney World. It's a love I discovered as an adult - my first trip to the World as a grown-up was in 2001. And that did it for me.

I had gone to Disney world as a small child in 1971, when they first opened.  But I really don't remember much about it. The only attraction that I can recall is the speedway - I think I made my parents alternately ride that with me a dozen times. And I remember my oldest brother purposefully getting in the car behind me for the sole purpose of ramming me "by accident".  Right.

But that trip in 2001 was a surprise vacation that my partner Joe set up. I thought it sounded like great fun when he told me, but I had no idea how it would change my life. I'm guessing he didn't expect it either :p

We've gone back 5 times now - 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009 and most recently, in December of 2010 to see Disney at Christmas-time:

We recently moved to Charlotte from Minneapolis - the original pretense was to escape the bitter cold, but there was an underlying motive...Charlotte is an easy 8 1/2 hour drive to Disney World! Woo!

Our house has become somewhat of a collection bin for all things Mickey. The problem was we had it all over the place, and some stuff even tucked away in closets. It was hard to enjoy everything, until we decided to consolidate it all into one room - a poor, lonely spare bedroom.

After getting it all arranged, I jokingly started calling it The MouseCave. And I liked the term so much, I decided to create this website. It's really just a place for me and anyone else to proudly "show and tell" how Disney lives in and around our homes.
