If it's not moving, I can frame it!

After our recent trip to The World in April, I came back with even more pins. I know, big surprise!

So, I got to work to make another display frame for the new ones. I used a frame from a picture that we picked up at a garage sale for 25-cents (I'm always on the looked out for cheap pictures just for the frames!), gave it a coat of black spray paint, lined the back with some Disney fabric, and hung it up.

I also decided to make a display frame for my special light-up birthday lanyard, button & pin from our 2009 trip. Same concept as above. Turned out nice, I think:

More Weekend Crafts

Give me a few minutes of free time and I'll find something crafty to do with my Disney stuff!

The first idea came to me when I kept moving my Disney Conservation Fund buttons from previous years from my desk to the bookcase, then back to my desk. They always just seemed to be in the way of whatever I was trying to do.

When I was cleaning out a closet, I found an old picture frame - similar to a shadow box - that we got years ago but no longer really used. It had a natural wood frame and a set if sea-shells inside. And that's when the light bulb went off!

I took the whole thing apart, painted the frame black and the inside white, and added some red Mickey fabric as a background. Then, I removed the pins from the buttons, used some Velcro on the back, and put it all back together.

I hung it right above my Pin display. I think it turned out pretty nice!

Next was this really fun film roll photo frame. It was on Clearance at Michael's and I knew exactly what I would do with it

It takes 1 1/2 x 2 inch pictures. I don't know about you, but I don't have any pictures that size!  So, I found a bunch of my favorite Disney World pictures from previous trips, copied them to a single document and shrunk them to the right size.

Then I printed them off using a high-quality color printer, cut them out, and arranged them in the frame. Heres' a closer look:

All in all, quite a successful crafty weekend!

New Limited Edition Ears

Disney can see me coming a mile away!  2 weeks ago they lured me in with free shipping, and I just could not pass up the offer. And I had a online store credit burning a hole in my pocket. A very dangerous mix....

I am always looking to expand my ears collection, and as soon as I spotted these, I had to have them:
They're a limited edition set. Above is the front, and below is the back:
Mickey jumps from the back, through the ear, to the front.

Thanks to the Artist, Susan Foy, for this creation!

I'll wear them proudly!

Sleeping with Mickey

I'm talking bedding, of course!

We picked up this duvet cover, bedding set and throw pillow a few years ago:
I am thinking it may be time for an updated version, and my enabler-friends over at Walt Disney World for Grown Ups have graciously pointed out this one!

Hallelujah for enabler-friends, I say!

What Every Garden Needs

You just never know what you are going to find when you are not looking....today's example:
We were browsing around at Hobby Lobby and spotted this beauty - at 50% off!

Since we have a garden started, it only made sense to get one!
Here they are keeping a playful eye on the newly sprouting spinach and lettuce.

I should have bought two.....hee hee.
